Last week 5 of us from Melusi attended a Zulu church 2 miles away. The full story would take some time to read, but the main points you may be interested in are …
the service lasted just short of 4 hours
the singing was AMAZING! – a choir of 12 people. Different members took turns to come out at the front and lead the rest
a lady came to the front to give a prophecy/exhortation. she started this in song, before moving into impassioned preaching.
the pastor started in song, moved into preaching, then included dance and drama in his presentation.
he then left, changed (and probably showered, too!) before coming back to preach another sermon.
in the meantime another man exhorted, sang, danced, gave an appeal and ministered.
Bits of the meeting were in English, but most of it we didn’t understand.
the meeting was special – it was being filmed, so they sat us – the special, white, missionary guests – on the front row.
WoW! What a meeting!!
